Almost every first time pregnant mom comes across this question. Because she has no previous experience at all for this condition that has confused her.

But we have solutions for you! It is advised you should wait for 2 to 3 days when you missed your periods. However If you have a very regular and accurate menstrual cycle and you are very sure about that, than you should take a pregnancy test on the first day of your missed period.

If your menstrual cycle is irregular and you are not sure about your period date, then you should take a pregnancy test at least after three to four weeks after you have met with your partner.

What confirms that you are pregnant?

The pregnancy hormone in the urine confirms that you are pregnant. Medically this pregnancy hormone is called the human chorionic gonadotropin (which is better known in pregnancy world as hCG) is produced during pregnancy. Placenta cells formed and nourished the egg after it has been fertilized and attached to the uterine wall in the body of a pregnant woman.

Its level can be first detected by a blood test about 11 days after conception and 12 to 14 days after conception by a urine test and this level of hCG will double after every 72 hours. This level reached at its peak in the first 8 to 11 weeks of pregnancy and then will decrease and level off for the remaining days of pregnancy.
